Anderson Appraisals is a leader when it comes to technology

At Anderson Appraisals, we have a confession to make: We are technology junkies. We use the best and newest technology at our disposal to bring you high quality, accurate appraisals.

The appraisal process has changed vastly lately and most would say, it's a lot more demanding than in the past. We put quality first, but we know that turnaround time is always a plus for many clients. So, we've simply optimized our routine processes to do more in less time. The appraisers that have always adapted to new technology have been the ones able to consistently satisfy their customers with more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.

Innovating the Ordering Experience

Way back when, the majority of orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back into the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. These days, when orders are entered on this website, we receive a text message on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

Anderson Appraisals understands that real estate is all about timeliness. We don't make you wait around for replies because we understand the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.

Anderson Appraisals believes in working smarter

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an in-depth process. We spend quite a bit of time gathering both specific information about the subject property and general data about the local market and developing trends. Anderson Appraisals takes advantage of technology to close the gap once again.

We've learned that taking notes the standard way, using pencil and paper, generally takes longer since we we have to enter everything back in at the office. Don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application developed for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. Rather than using that clumsy outdated tape measure, a larger percentage appraisers are adopting accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.

All of this technology ensures that the final report is as comprehensive and without error as possible. This works to both our advantages by requiring less time for call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.

Here at Anderson Appraisals we want you to know you have more ways to receive your report.

At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's much more efficient than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with report delivery with this website.

Ever lost a file that was sent to you? Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because it was too big? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too.  Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the best thing is that the file will be hosted on this site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.

Digital Workfile Technology

It would probably be easier if appraisers could never have to think about an assignment again after writing and giving it to the client. However, appraisals are employed to show the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers are required by law to keep their reports for 5 years in case any disputes or other matters arise regarding the property.

Here again, Anderson Appraisals leverages our embracing of technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall exactly what that assignment was about.

These are just a few examples of how we use technology daily. Utilizing the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to deliver reports quicker, more efficiently and with higher degrees of accuracy.
